Outdoor Play Area Completed!
Hopefully you will have noticed that the area to the rear of St Peters Hall has been transformed into a barked play area for the children.
This never would have been possible without the hard work and tireless campaigning of Nikki Davies, through who we have managed to have donated virtually all materials used for the play area and fence save the bark itself which was purchased by the school. Special thanks to Kellaway and Heritage Fencing for the timber used in the construction of the ground frame, seating areas and the 5ft picket fence. This is a monumental achievement and one which will set us up for many hours of play for this academic year and many more.
Special mentions must be given to Nikki’s husband Greg and his colleague Jimmy of H. P. Building Services Ltd who braved the rain on Sunday in order to complete the project, proving how much 2 men and a nail gun can do! Jimmy doesn’t even have a child at pre-school and did this out of a pure act of kindness, thank you Jimmy!!
A few parents and members of staff very kindly helped with many duties on Saturday which saw the wooden frame for the play area put down and 5 tonnes of play bark wheel barrowed in and raked. Pre-school staff kindly supervised and entertained the little ones whilst this was going on, without this support it would have made the task very different!
With the rear of the building now completed we still need play bark to finish off the front of the building. If any parents could find their way to kindly donate money towards a bulk bag of bark we would be very grateful. Any donations can be dropped off at the hall when dropping off or collecting children, thank you.
Tescos and Sainsburys Voucher Collections
We are registered for both of these schemes and would appreciate any vouchers handed in. We can claim for fun and creative toys and equipment for as little as 60 vouchers! The collection boxes are situated in the main corridor by the children’s drawers, thank you.

Mobile Phones
Do you have any old mobiles lurking around in drawers or boxes? If you do and you would like to help raise funds for the children and help the environment please hand them in to a member of staff. Mobile phones that don’t even work or are cosmetically damaged are just as valuable and all help to raise money, thank you.
